       The non-detachable spiral plate heat exchanger is designed according to the Ministry of Machinery Standard JB/TQ724-89 non-detachable spiral plate heat exchanger form, basic parameters and dimensions. It has the advantages of simple manufacturing, low cost, small size and good heat transfer performance, but it also has its shortcomings, such as the inability to be mechanically cleaned, and difficulty in repairing if broken. The user should select specific equipment according to the actual situation of the project to make it effective.

Structure and performance
       1. This equipment is suitable for: liquid-liquid, gas-gas, gas-liquid convection heat transfer. It can be used for steam condensation and liquid evaporation heat transfer. It can be used in chemical industry, petroleum, medicine, machinery, electric power, light industry, textile and other industrial sectors.
       2. This equipment is rolled from two steel plates, forming two uniform spiral channels. The two heat transfer cutoffs can carry out full counter-current flow, are suitable for small temperature difference heat transfer, facilitate the recovery of low-temperature heat sources, and can accurately control the outlet temperature.
       3. The nozzle on the shell has a tangential structure, with small local resistance. The curvature of the spiral channel is uniform. There is no major reversal of fluid flow in the equipment, and the total resistance is small. Therefore, the design flow rate can be increased to provide high heat transfer capacity.
       4. The end face of the spiral channel is welded and sealed, with good sealing performance and reliable structure.
       5. It is not easy to repair, especially if there is a problem with the internal plate.
       6. Mechanical cleaning is not possible. Production practice has proven that spiral plate heat exchangers are less likely to be clogged than general tube-type heat exchangers. In particular, suspended impurities such as sediment and small shells are not easy to deposit in the spiral channel. Analyze the reasons; first, because it is a single channel. Once impurities are deposited in the channel, the turnover flow will increase to flush it away; secondly, because there are no dead corners in the spiral channel, impurities are easily flushed out.
       7. Because there are fixed-distance columns in the spiral channel to support the channel spacing, fibrous impurities (cotton yarn, straw sticks, leaves, etc.) must not enter the inside of the heat exchanger.
       8. Strictly control the cooling water outlet temperature below the scaling temperature.
       9. The commonly used cleaning method is to use steam blowing or alkali cleaning. The steam should be blown into the pipe to blow out the impurities from the equipment. Many users think this is an effective method.

Detachable (type II, type III) spiral plate heat exchanger
       The structural principle is basically the same as that of a non-detachable heat exchanger, but the channel can be disassembled for cleaning, and both ends are sealed with heads. It is especially suitable for liquid-liquid exchange of viscous and precipitated liquids, as well as gas-liquid and steam condensation. Since detachable heat exchangers require additional components such as heads and flanges, the equipment cost is slightly higher than that of non-detachable heat exchangers.

Basic parameters
  
       The material of the part in contact with the medium of the spiral plate heat exchanger is Q235A and Q235AF for carbon steel and SUS321 and SUS304 for stainless steel. Other materials can be selected according to user requirements.
  When selecting this equipment, proper process calculations should be carried out to make the fluid in the equipment channel reach a turbulent state. (Generally, the liquid flow rate is 1m/Sec and the gas flow rate is 10m/Sec).
       A single device cannot meet the usage requirements. Multiple devices can be used in combination, but the combination must meet the following regulations:
       Parallel combination, series combination: The equipment and channel spacing are the same. Mixed combination: One channel in parallel and one channel in series.
       Stainless acid-resistant steel PN0.6, 1.6MPa non-detachable (Type I) spiral plate heat exchanger.
